I asked at an Electronics Boutique, and they said the tentative date was 1 August, but that this was unlikely to be the actual date. As I understand it, the problem is getting rights for the music for Australia. They may also want to include some Australian content, which would be pretty awesome (if doing so didn't hold up the release.) I have also been tempted to go the modchip route. But I shall hold on. The anticipation is wonderful too.
