Bunduki
There’s a series of books about a tarzan ripoff named “Bunduki”. He is allegedly the Fearless Master of the Jungle. A tradition has built up in the office – it has a long and complicated history – to attempt to read the first of these books. According to the challenge, you must read every footnote when it comes up, and every appendix when it is first referenced. When you give up, you put your name in the margin and pass it on to the next victim.
This was the first Bunduki challenge.

wtf? I’ve read them all apart from Sacrifice for the Quagga God! Which I’ve only seen advertised for £150, not quite affluent enough to pay that for a book right now :p
Btw, if it wasn’t for the names scrawled in the margin, that copy of Bunduki might well have been worth a fair amount, mine cost me £47 and isn’t pristine quality.

Wow! That just adds to the Bunduki legend – I’ll tell everyone, they’ll be incredibly amused and proud! We’re still holding our annual Bunduki challenge, to see who will be the next FMOTJ. Hundreds of people in our company compete in such events as snake stretching, balloon popping (with nerf spears tipped with pins), and so on. I believe the most recent event was a horizontal bungee.
