Terrific weekend

Von and I finally took advantage of my sister CB’s wedding present, and went to a lovely luxury eco-lodge called Paperback Camp. Why it was called Paperback Camp I have no idea; there weren’t even very many hardcovers. There were a lot of trees and a river and some luxurious tents and a fairly top-class restaurant. It was very relaxing, and while the many varieties of mosquito repellant came very much in handy, we certainly didn’t feel like we were roughing it at any point, while still getting the close-to-nature vibe.
Highlights: brilliant food, enormous sting rays, a family of very relaxed kangaroos, sleeping in, the night sky.
Lowlight: relearning a valuable lesson about candle holders.
