Week 18

It’s week 18 of the saga of Monkey/Tiger, and hooray! The nausea has definitely subsided. Von’s tummy is more obvious now, and she’s feeling the fluttering fairly often. Ultrasound on Thursday.
Meanwhile: I bought a new iMac. The laptop is still working (though the swollen battery saga had it mostly out of action for a few weeks) but I spilled water all over the plug-in keyboard on Sunday morning, and decided that it was finally time to upgrade anyway. It’ll be good to do my next lot of editing on a more modern computer. The transfer of data from old to new computer was really simple and worked without a hitch. However, I also wanted to install Windows. Not so straightforward. That took about five hours, mostly with the DVD chugging away.
Other news: pool cover gets installed today (yay!), A/C repairer comes on Friday (after last Friday’s repair failed to fix it), puzzle competition is getting unnervingly close, and my B/R Worldwake deck is going distinctly poorly in the current lunchtime draft tournament. Also, I bought a samurai sword umbrella. It wants to fight my Light Saber, I just know it.
