Jar Jar, you’re a genius!
July 9th 2008 -
I’m a little late to the party, especially considering I’m one of the people to come up with the phrase, but “Jar Jar, you’re a genius!”, a phrase that could not be detected on the interwebs until the recent Darths & Droids strip, has prompted a wee bit of a trend. First time I’ve ever been on the inside of one of these!

Woot! Dude, I looked at the Google trends site, and lo! There was this blog entry. Life imitating art imitating life… or something.
Blog on!

Well, how about that!
Hey, long time no chat. How are ya?

I thought You would have frowned upon the shameless google-bombing from bloggers that caused the ranking to go so high! Anyway, while I’m here being a hypocrite, I thought that I’d announce that me and K are expecting our *Fifth Child*. So there is no need to worry, I’ve got enough for the both of you if you end up with a shortage of children.

Congratulations, Marco! That’s a lot of children.
But why would I frown on google bombing? It’s not like we’re trying to sell a product. Darths is never going to be commercial.

Something that is popular and works “ought” to eventually be marketed in some guise. Secondly, the notoriety that the authors get may be of commercial benefit in marketing say “a book” by the same author (or team)
But that is fine by me.

I don’t think we can market Darths in any guise. Lucasarts would come down on us like a tonne of bricks, and rightly so. As long as it’s a parody and we are clearly non-profit hobbyists, we should be OK.
But we knew that going into the whole enterprise.
